Solid waste

This field aims valorization of Industrial Solid Waste (ISW) coming from the large copper mining and forest industry mainly. Between 2007 and 2008, some projects were executed in order to obtain commercially interesting from slag of copper sand casting, in close collaboration with researchers from the Department of Metallurgical Engineering. Several projects were developed regarding characterization and evaluation of possible uses of biomass combustion ashes and sludge of liquid waste treatment plants of forest Industry.
