Open Positions

The Unidad de Desarrollo Tecnológico (UDT) of the University of Concepción invites Chilean and foreign professionals to apply for eight positions, made available within the framework of the "Financiamiento Basal", a national-level research program funded by the Chilean government through CONICYT (Chilean National Science Foundation), whose objective is to strengthen national science & technology centers of excellence (CCTE).

Our center (CCTE-UDT) is one of eight such national centers of excellence. It is devoted to research and development in the general area of sustainable utilization of forest biomass, with a focus on the following topics: biomaterials, bioenergy, chemical products and environmental protection.

Application requirements:
-engineer or professional in a scientific or technological discipline;
-a postgraduate academic degree at the masters or doctoral level;
-professional experience in the production sector and/or in research & development;
-proficiency in the English language.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become part of an applied research institution with strong ties to industry, in a pleasant working environment with established national and international collaborative networks. We offer a permanent contract and a competitive salary.
